Mission Statement

The Seniors Ministry at Fawn Lake Church exists to honor, encourage, and engage adults ages 55+ by fostering spiritual growth, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve Christ and the community.

Vision

To create a Christ-centered community where seniors are:

• Spiritually nourished

• Socially connected

• Actively serving

• Valued as mentors and prayer warriors

Target Group

• Adults 55 years and older

• Retirees, empty nesters, widows/widowers

• Seniors with limited mobility (included through outreach)

Core Ministry Pillars

1. Spiritual Growth

• Monthly Bible studies (in-person & hybrid)

• Prayer groups and devotionals

• Guest speakers (pastors, Christian counselors, missionaries)

• Faith & life workshops (grief, purpose, aging with grace)

2. Fellowship & Community

• Monthly fellowship luncheons

• Coffee & Conversation mornings

• Game days (dominoes, cards, board games)

• Birthday & anniversary celebrations

• Seasonal socials (Christmas brunch, Spring picnic)

3. Service & Outreach

• Prayer ministry for the church

• Care packages for shut-ins

• Visiting elderly members or local nursing homes

• Mentoring younger church members

• Community service projects (food pantry, clothing drives)

4. Care & Support

• Hospital & home visitation team

• Phone call check-in ministry

• Transportation assistance for church events

• Grief support group

• Caregiver encouragement sessions
